Overview
The perfectly refined fuel system of the C8.7 enables the installation of a belt-driven radial compressor supporting the operation of a conventional turbocharger; this solution eliminates smoke and reduces reaction time, while at the same time providing very high torque in the low rpm range and very low fuel consumption. The modern, second generation FPT common rail fuel injection system (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) and the innovative air delivery system allow the compact C8.7 to achieve an impressive 650 mhp at 2,300 rpm, while meeting EPA Tier 3 Commercial, EPA Tier emission standards 3 Recreational, IMO II and Stage IIIA (EU IW).
