With the MPC 800 remote control system crew members can control and supervise the propeller regardless of the types of vessel, and the system itself is user-friendly and extremely easy to operate. With the latest microprocessor technology, all information is clearly displayed on the control panels. The control panels are equipped with displays readable in daylight that can be easily configured to control or operate with a wide range of additional systems including clutches, brakes, joysticks, DP, VDR, and transmission systems.
The MPC 800 system also enables the configuration of additional functions, such as fixed speed modes.
With the MPC 800 Remote Control System, crew members can exercise control and supervision over adjusting screws and propellers regardless of vessel type. The system displays at all workstations show the information in a clear way.
This specially designed Caterpillar system uses the latest microprocessor technology.
The MPC 800 is a powerful tool specifically designed to control adjusting screws and propellers regardless of the type of vessel.
The control panels are equipped with daylight-readable displays that can be easily configured for control or as an interface to various support systems such as clutches, PTH systems, shaft brakes, rudderstocks, dynamic positioning systems, VDRs and ship steering systems.
A number of configurable operating modes are also available, including different drive and speed combinations. The system uses modern redundancy technology to reduce the number of cable connections. The duplicated bus and electronic circuits ensure that the system remains fully operational in the event of a failure of one of the systems.
The system is powered by two separate 24 V DC sources, one per each circuit.
– Real fieldbus technology reduces the number of wires needed
– Electronic and bus systems are duplicated to ensure maximum redundancy
– Daylight-readable displays for all panels
