2For several years now, a profound energy transformation due to irresponsible human activity has been taking place before our eyes. Adverse global climate change due to excessive emissions of greenhouse gases, mainly carbon dioxide, has been observed for several decades. They have contributed to a change in thinking and global perception of certain processes occurring in our environment and the search for ways to solve them. A vast majority of the world’s countries signed a climate change agreement in Paris in 2015. Its main goal is to reduce the share of coal-based energy in favour of renewable energy sources (RES). So-called decarbonisation has thus become a goal for the coming years for most threat-conscious countries, including Poland.
Decarbonisation refers to the process of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and can be implemented in several ways by increasing the energy efficiency of thermal power plants, which can ultimately lead to a reduction in CO2 emissions.
Thus, the decarbonisation of CHP plants is an important step toward sustainable and clean energy production. By implementing the aforementioned technologies and strategies, CHP plants can reduce their negative environmental impacts and contribute to the combat against climate change.
Decarbonisation and the development of new energy carriers allow us to hope that the world will be able to rebuild its global ecosystem over the next several years with low- and zero-carbon energy sources.
The global trend is to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the energy mix, as they are a major alternative to fossil fuels, and additionally, they are seen as an important contributor to curbing dangerous climate change. Not surprisingly, more and more Polish companies are looking for environmentally friendly solutions.
At Eneria, we have recognised the changing business climate, so we created a new Decarbonisation and Development division based on RES. We have included a range of products and services that help reduce CO2 emissions, even in sectors still using fossil fuels. And all this is due to modern technologies that allow better use of available energy carriers. We offer a whole range of solutions in the field of energy efficiency, cogeneration, low-emission generation devices and renewable sources.
Our offer includes:
Eneria’s range of PV solutions includes high-energy photovoltaic modules in monocrystalline technology with outputs ranging from 345 to 385 Wp. We offer full black, single-sided and double-sided panels.
We support clients at every stage of the project. We provide turnkey solutions. Our experts provide technical advice on the modernisation of the enterprise, analyse the profitability of the investment, develop a project and help select the right installation for the enterprise.
Installing PV panels on the roofs of halls and buildings has recently become very popular. Such an investment not only reduces electricity costs but also builds a positive corporate image. The large surface area of the roof and its low slope create perfect conditions for installations that draw energy from the sun.
The panels are installed on the roof’s undeveloped space. Nevertheless, the PV installation can put some stress on the roof structure. Therefore, especially at the stage of designing the facility, it is recommended to consult the company experts, who carefully evaluate and prepare the installation project.
Photovoltaic farms are another popular application of this technology. Unlike installations for personal use or investments for companies, carried out for cost-saving purposes, the task of PV farms is to produce large amounts of energy for sale.
Solar thermal panels are devices used to convert solar radiation energy into thermal energy. They are an efficient way to use solar energy for hot water and heating production.
They can be used in private houses, public buildings, swimming pools, and greenhouses or to supply district heating networks and other places where heat is needed. They are environmentally friendly and help reduce the use of conventional energy sources such as gas and fuel oil.
That is why Eneria has partnered with Swiss company TVP Solar and introduced solar thermal panels for heat production based on High-Vacuum Flat Panel (HVFP) technology.
MT-Power TVPC high-performance panels are designed for applications from 80 to 180°C and are very durable. Their performance does not deteriorate over time, and their cost is the lowest per watt (thermal). With their excellent design, they are also easy to install.
Installed on the roofs of buildings, on the ground or in parking canopies, they produce heat at high temperatures regardless of weather conditions, require no maintenance, store the thermal energy produced more easily relative to electricity and, above all, are safe for the environment.
Hydrogen is the simplest chemical element and can be used as an alternative energy source due to its properties, such as high energy density and lack of emissions during combustion.
The precursor model of the GEH2 hydrogen-powered generator we introduced began a new era in power generation. It was designed by our business partner EODev and manufactured in the workshops of Eneria France, based on the latest generation of fuel cells. Our hydrogen unit produces energy, water and heat from hydrogen and oxygen without emitting CO2 into the atmosphere and is almost soundless.
Energy storage facilities are used to store energy for later use. They play an important role in energy management, especially in the context of renewable energy sources that often generate energy in unsteady amounts and at unsteady times, such as PV and solar panels. They are a great addition to the backup power supply for uninterruptible operation of equipment.
There are various types of energy storage, depending on the type of energy to be stored. That is why our experts pay close attention to many factors when selecting the right option, including technology, battery capacity, space, full charge and discharge cycles, and the warranty period, which is extremely important for investors.
Hybrid solutions within Eneria’s operations aimed at decarbonisation involve the integration of renewable energy sources with conventional power generators. With such hybrid solutions, we are able to reduce the consumption of conventional fuels, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and at the same time acquire backup power in the event of a shortage of energy from RES. We create hybrid microgrids that also include smart energy storage systems, which increase power stability and cost control.
As part of hybrid installations, we also offer hybrid installations of PV panels.
Year after year, there is an increasing level of interest in obtaining energy from solar PV. Nonetheless, the biggest drawback of photovoltaic installations is the lack of a reliable and consistent level of power. The solution to this is hybrid photovoltaic installations. Such an installation combines 2 modes of systems: grid-connected and island ones. The process of generating electricity is the same as for a typical PV panel installation. The standard one is equipped with a battery pack and a special hybrid inverter, which seamlessly supplies energy to the storage system and plug-in electrical system. Additional elements allow energy to be stored in case of excess production and used at times when energy demand is higher.
The road to significant reductions in atmospheric greenhouse gas emissions is a long one, and decarbonising the world around us requires us to think and act on many levels. Eneria thus supports solutions and new technologies that are set to revolutionise the energy sector in the coming years and contribute not only to increased local energy security but also to the reduction of negative human impact on the global environment.
To complete the TVP Solar solution, Eneria has developed a method for storing energy up to 145°C in pressurised water (5 bar). With this method, it can easily replace the heat normally supplied in the form of steam by fuel oil or gas boilers. For processes requiring temperatures higher than 145°C, the heat carrier is replaced by thermal oil.
On the road to decarbonisation, Eneria is comprehensively implementing solar power plants in a system from design through subsidy applications, installation, and commissioning to long-term maintenance.
