Nowy S\u0105cz, Poland<\/b> \u2013 In the heart of the S\u0105decki Beskids, the Municipal Heating Company (MPEC) Nowy S\u0105cz<\/b> has played a crucial role in supplying heat to residents for nearly 30 years. The company, whose heating network is based on renewable energy sources and cogeneration<\/b> for over half of its operations, constantly strives for modernization and innovation. The latest stage of this transformation was the construction of a high-efficiency cogeneration unit in Stary S\u0105cz<\/b>, completed by the company Eneria<\/b>, which will significantly contribute to the region’s green transition.<\/p>\n

The Stary S\u0105cz project was supported by an 8 million PLN loan from the National Recovery Plan (KPO)<\/b> under the “City Transformation” initiative. This investment is an exemplary case of effectively utilizing European funds for sustainable energy development.<\/p>\n

Eneria \u2013 Expert in Cogeneration Solutions<\/h2>\n

Eneria<\/b>, as an experienced provider of comprehensive energy solutions, played a key role in the execution of this strategic investment. The company was responsible for the design and execution of construction works<\/b>, as well as the supply and installation of advanced technological equipment. As Krzysztof Krzyszycha, Key Account Manager at Eneria<\/b>, emphasizes, the Bergerat Monnoyeur company supplied the cogeneration unit, based on a CAT CG170B-12 gas engine<\/b> with an electrical output of 1200 kW<\/b> and a thermal output of 1270 kW<\/b>. The entire installation was also equipped with an emergency power supply system<\/b>, provided by a CAT DE165E0 generator set<\/b> with a capacity of 165 kVA<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The work also included constructing the foundations for the cogeneration unit, the emergency power generator set, and the transformer station. Care was also taken to ensure appropriate acoustics<\/b>, tailored to the facility’s location, and the hydraulic and automated integration<\/b> with the existing gas boiler.<\/p>\n

The installation was commissioned in the spring of this year. Eneria is known for its comprehensive “turnkey” cogeneration project implementations<\/b>, from concept to execution and service, which is confirmed by numerous successful investments across Poland.<\/p>\n

The new high-efficiency cogeneration unit allowed MPEC Nowy S\u0105cz<\/b> to achieve an efficient heating system, bringing numerous tangible benefits. As Pawe\u0142 Kupczak, President of MPEC Nowy S\u0105cz<\/b>, points out, the 1.2 MW installation operates as a base load<\/b>, providing heat to the residents of Stary S\u0105cz, both in older buildings and in newly developing areas, including the economic activity zone and new housing estates.<\/p>\n
