WHAT IS LOCOMOTIVE ENGINE OVERHAUL?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

This is nothing more than a comprehensive regeneration of the heart of the locomotive.<\/span><\/span> It can be compared to a general overhaul of the engine in a car, but on a much larger scale.<\/span><\/span> During the process, all engine elements are checked, and worn parts are replaced with new ones.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

WHY ARE RENOVATIONS SO IMPORTANT?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

Regular maintenance is essential for several reasons.<\/span><\/span> The first is broadly understood safety.<\/span><\/span> Worn parts can lead to failure, which threatens the safety of both railway workers and passengers.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another reason that cannot be ignored is the extended service life of the machine.<\/span><\/span> Regular inspections and repairs extend the engine’s operation, which translates into lower operating costs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

WHAT DOES THE ENGINE OVERHAUL PROCESS LOOK LIKE?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

Caterpillar engine overhauls require not only high-quality spare parts, but also specialized tools and deep technical knowledge.<\/span><\/span> Eneria mechanics working on these engines must regularly attend training courses to stay up to date with the latest technologies and service procedures.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The whole process can be divided into several stages:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

1\/ Dismantling: The engine is pulled from the locomotive and disassembled into its component parts.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

2\/ Cleaning: All components are thoroughly cleaned so that their condition can be assessed.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3\/ Inspection: Each component is checked for wear, damage, or other irregularities.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

4\/ Part Replacement: Worn parts are replaced with new, original components.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n
