When we buy a new suit or a new pair of shoes, we want to make sure that they are tailor-made and we will be comfortable in them. As in fashion, size matters. And so when selecting a new generator, it is important to know that once the unit is installed at the site, it will provide the necessary power to supply the project.<\/p>\n

When choosing a new generator, whether it is a continuous or standby unit, it must withstand the required load. To achieve this, the investor must properly determine the power of their generator, which means finding a unit with a kilovolt-ampere (kVA) rating closely matching the power requirements of the facility.<\/p>\n

Proper selection of a generator is a challenge for many customers and project-makers, but it has become easier thanks to an app created and provided by CATERPILLAR.<\/p>\n

CATERPILLAR – an experienced manufacturer of power generators and industrial engines, aware that customers may select the wrong unit for a given application and that the consequences can harm the operation of a company or a given business, has developed and implemented an effective tool for the selection of generators.<\/p>\n

That is why in 2022 CAT launched the easypower.cat.com<\/strong> platform, where customers could calculate the maximum power the unit needed to power a facility, configure it, check the status of the nearest stock, as well as the price at a local CAT dealer, and close the purchase.<\/p>\n

After a year and getting positive feedback from a wide range of customers, the platform has been improved and expanded with additional features. The URL address of the online platform has changed to power.cat.com<\/a>, but the intent and premise of its functioning as a tool to support the needs of the customers have remained the same.<\/p>\n

Instructional videos have also been prepared to help the customer go through each of the selected paths intuitively:<\/p>\n
