Pronar commenced its operations in unstable times \u2013 right at the beginning of the fall of communism in Eastern Europe. In order to start selling agricultural machinery, this small, local company founded in 1988 took advantage of the transition to free markets. As a result, the company was able to quickly evolve, so that it could become competitive and continuously reinvest its profits in new factories, technology and talents. Today, Pronar employs more than 2,200 people and runs seven factories. The products from its own line, including tractors, trailers or equipment designed for recycling and urban road maintenance, are sold not only in Europe but also around the world. Pronar\u2019s line of recycling machines, such as shredders, trommel screens and stockpilers, is intended for companies involved in municipal, industrial and construction recycling. More than half of the machines manufactured by Pronar are powered by CAT\u00ae industrial engines, including the C1.7, C2.2, C2.8, C3.6, C4.4 and C9.3B models. We use CAT\u00ae engines because we find them reliable and cost-effective.<\/em> The service support provided by the worldwide dealer network is also very important to us<\/em>, says Mateusz Pietruszka, Recycling Product Manager at Pronar. Powered by the C9.3B engine, the MRW 2.85 model is a basic slow-speed shredder that can process up to 10 tonnes of materials per hour, including municipal and construction waste, pallets, debris, tree residues, roots and other bulky materials. The shredding is carried out by means of two synchronously running shafts located in the chamber. Depending on the type of input material, the shredder operator can choose the suitable programme to control the shafts. The MRW 2.85 shredder cuts and tears materials to a specific size so that they can be either easily sorted or used as ingredients in compost or alternative fuels. As this machine is highly mobile, it can be quickly transported from one place to another.<\/p>\n

CATERPILLAR MAKES THE DIFFERENCE<\/strong><\/h5>\n

For Pronar, the selection of engines for its recycling machines was a multi-stage process. First, Pronar tested various brands in order to find the power range that was wide enough for the company\u2019s product line, and then asked potential customers for their opinion. Most users of recycling machines favour CAT\u00ae engines due to their high power output, fuel efficiency and ease of servicing. CAT\u00ae engines are well-known among the vast majority of our clients. They are familiar with the layout and operational details of these engines and know how to keep them running for a long time<\/em>, says Mateusz Pietruszka, Recycling Product Manager at Pronar.<\/p>\n

Global support for a growing business. <\/strong>Unfortunately, operators of these machines do not always have the expertise needed to keep their engines in working order. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure local access to parts and maintenance services. As Pronar sells its machines outside Poland, or even Europe, such a form of support has to be available worldwide. Caterpillar is a reliable partner across the world.<\/em> Wherever we sell our machines, there is a CAT\u00ae dealer ready to take care of their servicing<\/em>, adds Mateusz Pietruszka.<\/p>\n

Various markets, different standards. <\/strong>The global sale of equipment requires compliance with various regulations regarding exhaust emissions. Caterpillar is able to supply engines that meet all such requirements, including both European standards (from EU Stage IIIA to Stage V) and US norms (such as U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final). As a result, Pronar is fully flexible when it comes to providing clients with customised solutions<\/em>, says Andrzej Jankowski, Industrial Engine Sales Engineer at Eneria (CAT\u00ae<\/sup> dealer in Poland).<\/p>\n

Partners in product development. <\/strong>Eneria provides Pronar with more than just engines. Starting right from the initial design stage, Eneria\u2019s engineering team offers technical support, which involves, for example, supplying the required technical details as well as ensuring assistance with the placement of the engine in a given machine and the connection of the engine control system.<\/p>\n
