Taking into account the emission of large amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, most countries in the world have signed up to the Paris Agreement. Its overarching goal is to hold the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2\u00b0C and pursue efforts to limit the temperature increase to 1.5\u00b0C. Additionally, in 2021, the Polish government adopted a strategic document \u2013 Energy Policy of Poland until 2040 \u2013 which sets out the directions for the development of the national fuel and energy sector. The program is based on three main pillars:<\/p>\n<p>1. Just transition:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Transition of coal regions;<\/li>\n<li>Reducing energy poverty;<\/li>\n<li>New branches of industry related to RES and nuclear power.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Zero-emission energy system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Offshore wind energy;<\/li>\n<li>Nuclear energy;<\/li>\n<li>Local and civic power generation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3. Good air quality:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Transformation of heating;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">Electrification of transport;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"jCAhz ChMk0b\"><span class=\"ryNqvb\">A house with atmosphere.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Taking into account the above, in recent years, we have witnessed a major energy transition. Changes can be noticed both in Poland and in Europe, and they involve a reduction of the share of energy from coal combustion and its replacement by energy from renewable energy sources. Decarbonisation and the development of new energy carriers give us the hope that over the next dozen or so years, the world will be able to restore the ecosystem by using low- and zero-emission energy sources.<\/p>\n<p>Renewable energy sources are the main alternative to fossil fuels and are additionally recognised as an important factor contributing to stopping dangerous climate change. Therefore, it is not surprising that an increasing number of Polish enterprises are looking for environmentally friendly solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Renewable energy sources are those that can be replenished quickly or that are non-depletable. Natural processes are used to generate electricity and heat, as a result of which energy from RES is clean and Earth-friendly.<\/p>\n<p>Energy from RES includes:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; solar energy from <a href=\"https:\/\/eneria.pl\/en\/offer\/oze\/fotowoltaika\/\">solar panels<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/eneria.pl\/oferta\/termiczne-panele-sloneczne\/\">thermal solar collectors<\/a>;<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 wind energy from wind turbines;<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 hydroelectricity generated in hydropower plants;<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 energy from biomass, i.e. biodegradable products and post-production waste (biogas, liquid and solid biofuels);<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 geothermal energy from inside the Earth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ENERIA SUPPORTS DECARBONISATION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Eneria, we have noticed the changing business environment, which encouraged us to established a new department \u2013 RES, Decarbonisation and Development Department \u2013 supplement our offer with several products and services aimed at reducing emission even in sectors that still use fossil fuels, which is possible by using state-of-the-art technologies allowing for more effective use of energy carriers.
